In collaboration with New York’s Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage, West Elm, the Brooklyn-based global design company known for its original, modern designs, has brought its outdoor living expertise to the newly renovated venue in Central Park opening this summer. Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage, located near West Elm’s Brooklyn home, will feature indoor and outdoor spaces expertly designed by West Elm’s Design Crew team. All season long, New Yorkers and park visitors can enjoy a quintessential New York summer experience at SummerStage with the stylish comforts of home.

Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage is New York City's largest free outdoor performing arts venue, bringing nearly 100 free benefit shows to Central Park and 17 additional neighborhood parks throughout the five boroughs. As the official furniture partner*, West Elm outfitted all indoor and outdoor performer, VIP, and member areas within the SummerStage site that will reopen this week after a $5.5 million transformation.
West Elm’s Design Crew was up for the challenge, styling the new venue to enhance each visitor’s experience and reflect the best of the brand’s expertise in modern, sustainable living. Some highlights in the space include:
- Enhanced outdoor areas with picnic tables for SummerStage member gatherings and standing tables for convenient concert viewing.
- Customized dressing rooms for artist pre-show prep, each styled with a unique look and feel.
- West Elm’sresponsibly sourced designs throughout, including Fair Trade Certified, 100% Organic, handcrafted, and sustainably sourced pieces.
As part of West Elm’s commitment to impacting accessible spaces in its hometown, this summer West Elm will also support NYC Parks’ “Cool Pools” project to transform dated New York City public pool decks into vibrant and engaging places that bring communities together. West Elm’s outdoor furniture donation will contribute to the project’s mission to improve the comfort, functionality, appearance and overall experience at New York City public pools.
