Lily and Rose Goldenblatt’s undoubtedly stylish bedroom marries functionality with femininity fit for any growing fashionista
Global design company West Elm unveils its latest design project for HBO Max’s highly anticipated series, “And Just Like That…” Set Decorator, Carol Silverman, worked with West Elm Kids to create the ultimate shared bedroom for Charlotte’s growing daughters, Lily and Rose Goldenblatt. The chic space marries functionality with feminine prints and colors while telling the story of the characters through a new, grown-up lens.
“It was exciting to partner with West Elm for this room,” said Silverman. “Lily and Rose’s room had to fulfill a few functions. It had to by stylistically consistent with Charlotte’s taste [and] reflect the girls’ lives as they are now.”
The space was designed to reflect Lily and Rose’s personalities while representing Charlotte’s preppy style and classic charm. Pairing West Elm modern furniture pieces with traditional prints and patterns helped to create a sophisticated space that still felt youthful and fun. “The pieces I chose to incorporate are sophisticated and modern as well as have a light and bright quality that brought in fun and flair, a perfect look for Charlotte’s kids,” said Silverman.
Taking direction from the fashion world, Carol mixed various textures and patterns with hues of pink, dimensional art pieces, and furniture of mixed heights to build an interesting design landscape that felt livable and stylistically consistent.
Pieces to create Lily and Rose’s bedroom included:
- West Elm’s Staggered Glass Table Lamp +USB ($159), that casts a romantic glow and features a USB port for charging
- The sleek and sophisticated Modernist Wood Lacquer Desk ($699)
- Add dimension and stylish storage with the Modernist Wood 3 Drawer Dresser ($999) and Modernist Wood 5 Drawer Dresser ($1,399)
- Gender-neutral matching Metal Leg Platform Bed Twin in Stone White ($1,899)
- The Auburn Ottoman in Dusty Pink ($199) works double-time as a seat as well as extra storage space
- And a variety of playful mirrors, including the Swivel Mirror with Pinboard ($229), Cloud Fringe Mirror ($99), and Kate Wall Mirror ($599)
The final result features transitional furniture pieces and functional accessories that can grow with the sisters.
